Offline MCQ-based exam of 100 questions / 100 marks in English language only. Sections: Language Proficiency – English (20), General Awareness (20), Mental Aptitude & Reasoning (20), Arithmetic – 10th Standard (20), Computer Proficiency (20). Negative marking: 0.25 per wrong answer. Each correct answer carries 1 mark.

Computer typing test / stenography testQualifying
Qualifying stage. Clerk: Minimum 35 WPM typing in English on computer. Steno-Typist: Minimum 80 WPM English stenography with 20 WPM transcription. Marks not added to merit.

Verification of degree certificate, typing/steno speed certificate, CCC certificate, category documents, domicile proof, and NOC for government employees.
